For reference of a dear noob friend of my mistress who literally clicked on my picture paws. Heh :D
This is Coke here!
I was born on 16th August 08 in a farm at Pasir Ris in Singapore. I thank God that I was lucky to be born under the care of professionals so that I didnt fall sick when I was weak and vulnerable to viruses, which is why Im now a healthy little dog under the care of the Choo family. On 29th Nov 08, I invaded into the lives of this family and from that day onwards, I've made a significant impact in their lives and so have they in my life. I have a sister, Milo, who has found a nice home too(:
I was born to be a pure Shih Tzu, but every dog professional I met (trainers, vets, groomers) begs to differ. They say I look exactly like a Tibetan Spaniel and you know what? They’re right! All my characteristics fit a Tibetan Spaniel (: IDENTITY CRISIS! But seriously, I don’t really care what exactly I am because... my owners love me for who I am (: Im special and it was totally love at first sight when they first saw me.They love me the way I am and so do I. From what I know, it's my colours which attracted them to me and the attachment they felt the moment they held me in their arms.
I've gone for training and now, I've a certificate for the Basic Obedience Course - Level 1(although I still pee and poo all over at times. hehe). someday, I hope to be further trained and go on to level 2 so that I'd be able to learn more tricks! (: afterall, my trainer said that I was one of the smartest dogs he has ever taught and I really wanna learn more staff instead of slacking around at home.
Im a dog that really needs loads of attention and I really love it
when there are people around me, playing with me or just patting me...
as long as they give me attention (: sometimes, Im satisfied with my
toys to play with, but after awhile, I realise that I still prefer
human company best!
Well, I do know my owner really loves me loads and did I mention that
I actually appeared in the 24 May 09 Classified Ads? I guess my owner
had nothing better to do which is why one day, she just took out her
camera and started taking pictures of me. As she needed a picture of
me doing some sporty thing as it was the newspaper's requirement, she
just put one of my toy bones infront of me and snapped my picture!
Seriously, I didnt really expect my picture to appear in the
newspapers... but I guess, there are other people there who love me
too which is why they chose my picture! (:
This is just a summary about me and I'd just like to thank my
owner, for creating this blog for me!
WELCOME TO MY LIFE!

it's been a long time people, and i know you all miss me ((=
well, let's start with wed!
wed i suprised my mistress when i went to pick her up from school! :DD grandmaster took leave to celebrate my master's 21st birthday and he brought me on a car ride to pick mistress up from school!
man... the school is big o.o but i just waited patiently in the carpark while waiting for mistress to come out ((= you should have seen her surprised and shocked face when she saw me wondering around the carpark while waiting for her ((=
that was my wed adventure :D
BUT TODAY! i had an even bigger adventure!
I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL (((=
andandand....
i made a big discovery
today, after living for close to 1yr 4 mths, i've finally found my real identity.
everytime when friends came and saw me, no one really believed that i am a pure shih tzu. during my walks, there were people who really looked at me from all angles, and non could believe that i am a pure shih tzu. at home, even the choo family themselves doesnt believe that im a pure shih tzu because of my personality (=
today, my trainer managed to identify me (=
-drum rolls-
-More drum rolls-
im a TIBETAN SPANIEL!! (ok this is not scientifically or DNA confirm but after researching more about tibetan spaniels, the choo family is now 85% sure with all my characteristics fitting everything)
ok so what is a tibetan spaniel?
i know all of you noobs are wondering what on earth is that and some of you may never have heard of it before either. no worries, the choo family was exactly like that when they first heard that i was more of a tibetan spaniel. i could sense all the "???" forming in their heads -.-
basically from what i know, the first existence of my species in singapore was in 2004. (man.. that means i still have the chance of meeting them) and now, there are less than 50 of us in singapore ((=
im a really rare breed :DD
now, this explains why everyone gets so fascinated when they see me... RARE BREED!
more about my breed below :D
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tibetan Spaniel is a breed of assertive, small, intelligent dogs originating in the Himalayan mountains of Tibet. They share ancestry with the Pekingese, Japanese Chin, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, and Pug.
Tibetan Spaniel Temperament
A charming, sociable dog, the Tibetan Spaniel is a lover of creature comforts and makes a great family pet or companion. These dogs are well suited to both experienced and inexperienced dog owners, and have bags of energy, charm, and personality. This is an adaptable little dog, with a good natured disposition and a playful attitude. They can be stubborn and independent, which can make training something of a challenge, and a confident, assertive, yet positive owner is essential. Although some Tibetan Spaniels can be on the manipulative side, most are easy going, clam, and sensitive. Although the Tibetan Spaniel is not overly demanding in terms of exercise, regular walks are important, as is a safe and secure area in which to play when not on a leash.
The Tibetan Spaniel is very in tune with the emotions of his owner, and enjoys interaction. He is a real people dog, and does not like to be left alone or neglected. Very good at solving problems, smart, and quick to learn, the Tibetan Spaniel makes for a delightful companion. He enjoys climbing, and is very agile for his size. Early socialization is recommended with the Tibetan Spaniel to bring out confidence and stability in his temperament. He can be wary around strangers, and will bark to raise the alarm, making him an effective watchdog. He gets along well with children but does not like to be roughly handled, so is best around gentle, older children. He will usually get along well with other pets too, although some females can be aggressive with dogs of the same sex.

i smelled something different today
yeap there's now an extra person living in the house and im still at the stage of sniffing her out and getting to know her better (=
but still, i smelled something else
it's not the humans, not the rabbits, not the fishes, not the birds.
it smelled really different and new.
it was during my bathing time but i sensed that something was just wrong with my surroundings. i barked and barked. but everybody just "shushed" me up -.-
SNAKE!
mistress noticed a snake while she was searching for something and it was only then did they realise why i was barking at the snake which was kinda hidden behind the shoe rack -.-
a python to be exact and that was when all the commotion started.
first and foremost, they quickly got me into the house incase i got eaten up by the snake (good choice) and that was the end of it.... i missed out the rest of the show cause i couldnt see what happened.
but i do know that they called the police (???) who gave us a snake-catcher number. all it took was 2s for the snake-catcher to catch it and 200 bucks flew away just like that. (spend the money on me instead!!!)
the men in the family tried to kill/catch the snake but chickened out the moment the snake uncoiled itself. mann... i bet i could have killed the snake with just one bite. but well, my guess is that if i were to ever do that, mistress will never touch me for the rest of her life... and so will the rest of the choo family.
with much love,
coke
